A night in at Cargo...

I went to see the lovely Liam Bailey last night do a intimate acoustic set at Shorditch- Cargo.  Cargo is one of my fave spots because the music part of the venue is quite small, old and has a warmth to it. Again, Liam is an artist who's music I have followed from the start...I've had the pleasure of interviewing him for ARTHUSTLE and seeing him do some pretty mint gigs.  Really appreciate artists that are bringing home these legendary old-school, true soul vibes with a unique fresh twist. When you listen to Liam, you recognize that bluesy soul vibe but you kinda feel that switch up that brings it to current day ears. Being at Liam's gigs are very homey and warm. He brings a familiar, humble friendly manner to the room and treats the space like he was in his own space, inviting the audience in for a little jam or two. Always good times. Amazing support set from Natalie Duncan.

Festival Vibes

Friday just gone I photographed my dear friend the beautifully talented KADIJA KAMARA who performed on the main stage @ FIELDVIEW festival. I did a day photo log of behind the scenes with her and her band, chilling, meting other artists and such, and photographed other artists and the festival in general. It has been so long since I have been to a music festival, was great to return to old vibes, enjoy the atmosphere, meet great people, hear new music, eat, and just let your hair down and chill. Check out some of the photos I have took on my TUMBLR page.  Peace. J.Erika Be sure to check out KADIJA KAMARA here.

NEW MUSIC: Peter & kerry "La Trimouille

I've been a big fan of Peter & Kerry for a while. I loved both of the artists solo work, and I am really diggin their collaboration work. A while ago they released their first EP together "Clothes, Friends, Photos" which was really good. Now they have released their first proper Album "La Trimouille". The album Beautifully mixes various genres and music styles, molding together a cute, quirky, interesting album worth listening to. My fave tracks off the album are: "Split for the City" (reminds me of music from an 80s John Huges film), "Annie", "Wheels start turning".. and well i love the whole album! I recommend grabbing a copy of the album!

Discovering london - The vic tunnel

I was randomly walking around Waterloo and came across The Vic Tunnel...
It is the only place in London where it's legal for artists to paint, graffiti and be creative on the walls. Its great because all different sorts of artists have creative freedom to do what ever they want in the tunnels. It is great place to visit if you haven't been there before.
Enjoy the pictures. Toyin Kenny
